Her Big Day
Weddings all about cake? Sometimes I wonder
Some days, I wonder if I love weddings or if I just love wedding cake. It's pretty pathetic actually. I really love pretty and tasty cakes. If you follow ABG, you know I am a bit obsessed. Most wedding vendors loathe cake because it's always around. But, not me!
So, the first thing, second and the third finds that caught my attention the Saturday's Weddings, the Bridal show were...the cakes!!!
Here - all of the yummy cakes without the sinful calories.
Just engaged? Skip the bridal magazines and pull out a calculator
At yesterday’s bridal show, I met so many brides who got engaged on Christmas. Congratulations to all of you!!! How exciting!
While I hate to be the downer, I thought that instead of starting your wedding planning with awesome wedding photography, amazing cakes or cute engagement stories, I would start where you should start - with how to create a wedding budget.
Groom? Who's He? Focus on Marriage...As Your Plan
Happy Holidays everyone!!! My gift to you this Christmas is marital education, which is honestly more important than anything else I will ever share. While I enjoy all of the pretty bridal gowns, the fabulous cakes and wowderful photography - let's face it - nothing matters more than building a successful marriage.
So while you shop for gifts, exchange presents, eat your favorite dishes - remember to value your family and your fiance. Focus on what's important. I promise, wedding planning will be here when you return.
A Modern Nashville Girl Gets Married!
I met Beth at an Open House for A Catered Affair at Events 1418 last year. After I introduced myself, she started telling me how much she loved ABG and I was super excited to meet someone who even knew about my website! Beth told every bride in the vicinity that they should check out ABG and I didn’t have to open my mouth for the rest of the night! The more I learned about her wedding, the more I couldn’t wait for her big day.

Marriage Planning or Just Wedding Planning?
I have been sick all week. I rarely get sick so when I do, I turn into a big baby. I am moody and just want to stay home in my pjs.
So Thanksgiving Day was no different. I was irritable and as I was preparing food for the table, I even said "So what's it gonna take to get this thing (meaning Thanksgiving meal) going?"

A few days ago, I saw this segment on cupcakes called "Cupcakes: A Sweet Spot in a Sour Economy". As I thought about my own person obsession with cupcakes, especially for weddings and events, I thought - how true!
